The St. Joseph Metro Chamber is launching a smartphone application they hope will encourage community members to visit area Chamber members.

Residents and visitors can also download the application to be kept up to date on community events, news and tourism events. Chamber members will be able to advertise through the app as well as offer coupons to community members. Director of Communications for the St. Joseph Metro Chamber, Kristi Rasmussen, says the application is a great tool for promoting area business.

Rasmussen say the application has many useful features including 'Direct Call' which allows users to call businesses directly, and 'Near Me' which will show a user chamber businesses close to them on a map. The application is available for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry.
