ST. JOSEPH, MO (2012-05-9)

The city of Saint Joseph celebrated a major taxiway reconstruction project this past weekend.

The nine million dollar reconstruction project at Rosecrans Memorial Airport started in 2008 and was completed late last year. The project added a new full-length taxiway, airfield lighting, guidance signs, and airfield surface markings. Public Information Officer for the city of Saint Joseph Mary Robertson says the project benefits the region economically in several different ways.

Partners for the project include the Air National Guard and Federal Aviation Administration.
