Missouri governor Jay Nixon spent time Wednesday speaking at 3 high school in north Missouri highlighting those districts receiving, A+ schools designation.
Nixon visited Northeast Nodaway High School in Ravenwood, Albany High School and Cainsville High School. A+ designation means students in those schools can earn a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition and academic fees for 2 years at any public 2-year community college or technical school in Missouri. Nixon says the recent, A+ designation for the 3 school distrcit's is an important achievement for those 3 communities.
To be eligible for the program, students must meet academic achievement, conduct and attendance requirements and perform 50 hours of tutoring or mentoring service.© Copyright, KXCV
