A new ventura starting in Nodaway County aims at attracting new business and jobs.

Global perspective investment, or GPI is a group of local residents who have created an "Angel Investment" group that will help fund new businesses wanting to come into Nodaway County and Maryville area. GPI is partnering with Northwest Missouri State University's Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship as well as Nodaway County economic development to promote the area and land new businesses. GPI managing partner Brock Foust says they are interested in reviewing proposals from all industries, as long as the outcome is jobs for the region.

Foust says many of the investors in the new group are in Northwest Nodaway County, adding location sites and even a possible business park in that area being considered.
