MARYVILLE, MO (2012-05-9)
Maryville postal letter carriers will be taking part in a national food drive this Saturday collecting goods from residents as they deliver the mail.
Maryville Postmaster Paul Eschbacher says they are looking for nonperishable canned goods, spaghetti sauce in jars and anything sealed that will not expire. This is the 20th year the Maryville Post Office has taken part in the food drive and Eschbacher says the community has responded well th their efforts.
Eschbacher adds residents looking to donate to the food drive are asked to place the items in or near their mail boxes in a plastic bag if possible this Saturday for pick up as the mail carriers make their rounds.© Copyright, KXCV
