LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO (2012-05-08)

Jail Riots broke out this weekend at the Livingston County Jail House repeatedly refused to comply with Jail Rules, coerced other detainees and threatened staff members.

The men involved trashed the Jail cells, attempting to flood the area, throwing trash and attempting to cover the surveillance cameras.Cox says this was a large disturbance that required help from nearby county Sheriff Departments.

Water to Area three has been turned off to avoid further damage, and Cox is compiling a report of the damages to be submitted for evaluation. Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren is reviewing the case to determine if charges against the detainees should be filed.
