ST. JOSEPH, MO (2011-05-24)
The food bank in northwest Missouri has found a way to potentially help victims of the Joplin tornado.
Second Harvest based in St. Joseph partners with pantries in 19 counties. Executive director David Davenport says Second Harvest realizes hundreds of Joplin residents might be leaving for other parts of the state to stay with friends or relatives as the cleanup continues. Davenport says that's where our north Missouri food pantries come in.
Davenport says his ST. Joseph organization is working with state officials and standing by for a request to help out relief efforts should they get that call.© Copyright, KXCV
