ATCHISON COUNTY, MO (2011-05-06)
The next few days could be the peak week for mushroom hunters in north Missouri.
That's according to Atchison County Conservation agent Eric Abbot, who says wet conditions the last few weeks have been a boon for morel hunting. But he warns there is a real danger out there and precautions you can take. Abbott adds there have been reports the last few days of morel hunters in our region coming home with entire bags of the mushroom this year.
