Could the devastation in Joplin impact all Missouri insurance rates?
That's the question lawmakers are starting to ask as they work with FEMA and other agencies in the recovery efforts. Senator Roy Blunt is one of those working with federal authorities and says acknowledges it's possible Missouri insurance rates could feel effects of the Joplin disaster in the long run.
Blunt adds homeland security has indicated federal agencies might only pay 75% of the Joplin costs. He says the government paid 90% from the Alabama tornados and he's pushing for 100% in Joplin.© Copyright, KXCV
