KANSAS CITY, MO (2011-05-03)
Security has been increased at our region's international airport since the news of BIn Laden's death.
Kansas City International Airport now has increased patrols, including K-9 units, and a higher police presence. KCI spokesman Joe McBride says police and TSA have also ramped up procedures behind the scenes. He says for the most part, though, the security upgrades should be seamless to flyers. McBride doesn't anticipate longer security lines, but suggests following the rule of thumb of arriving an hour early for domestic flights and an hour and a half to two hours before international departures.
