CHILLICOTHE, MO (2011-05-24)
The citizens of Chillicothe are stepping up to lend a hand to Joplin tornado victims.
The Livingston County Sheriff's office is collecting items, including non-perishable food, water, and toiletries. The donations are being collected at the Sheriff's Office until a truck load is full. That's at 901 Webster in Chillicothe. And the Elks Lodge has put a truck out at the Chillicothe Hy-Vee parking lot. A drop box is also located at the Piggly Wiggly Store. Other items being asked for are flashlights and batteries, blankets, and anything baby-related. The Elks are accepting Joplin donations from 8 to 8 both today and tomorrow.
