NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2011-05-26)
The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office responds to a call for help in Joplin by sending 3 officers to the devastated city.
Sheriff Darren White says the 2 deputies and a court officer are in Joplin this morning, helping with the relief efforts in response to an assistance call through the Missouri Sheriff's Association. He says re-assigning Jamie Baker, Tyler Salisbury, and David Glidden depletes his staff by about a fourth, but he's glad to do it.
The Nodaway Sheriff's officers are patrolling Joplin, keeping people out of dangerous areas. They are expected to be on that duty for at least a week.© Copyright, KXCV
