A 10 year old escapes with her life after driving onto railroad tracks and colliding with a train.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says 10 year old Haley Graves of Chula stopped about 6:30 last night near the tracks on Livingston County Road 228 about 2 miles northeast of Chillicothe. That's when a Canadian-Pacific Locomotive driven by Darrell Teel of Pattonsburg approached the car. Graves accelerated to avoid the the train, which hit the car on the left rear bumper. The car spun counter-clockwise but neither the 10 year old driver nor the locomotive engineer were injured.
