St. Joseph, MO (2010-05-20) A workshop tomorrow by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources will educate Northwest Missourians on water quality monitoring efforts.

The D-N-R education will focus on monitoring quality in rivers and streams and teach watershed mapping, site selection, stream discharge and other topics.

Even though it's mostly classroom experience about mid-way through tomorrow participants are scheduled for a field trip to a nearby stream for hands-on demonstrations.

The workshop is in St. Joseph at the Department of Conservation regional headquarters.

It runs from 8-30 tomorrow morning until 4 or 5.
