Northwest, MO (2010-05-25) Early and mid-June is the target date for more than 2 million dollars in road upgrades in Holt and Nodaway counties.
Two of them are major highways around Maryville.
Mo-Dot says in Holt County crews will be re-surfacing nearly 20 miles of Highway 59 from Interstate 29 near Craig and working south to just north of Oregon.
Drivers will be following a pilot car through the construction zone... which should be operational for about a month after the work starts.
In Nodaway County Mo-Dot will work on Highway 46 from west of the city limits to the intersection of Depot and First streets.
That stretch is for 2 miles and will start in early August.
Highway 136 will be widened from Stanberry to Route J in Nodaway County.
The nearly 7 and a half miles of widening and re-surfacing will start in mid-August.
Also in Nodaway crews in mid-June will be working for about 14 days overlaying 5 miles of Highway F starting at Highway 136 and running to Bedison.
And a little more than 8 miles of Highway N in Nodaway will also be re-surfaced starting at Highway F to Route M.
