Savannah, MO (2010-05-14) The new Director of the Andrew County Museum says he wants to incorporate community partnerships into the facility.

Glenn Uminowitz (you-min-oh-witz) is a graduate of the Museum Studies Program at the University of Delware and has worked as a museum director in Maine, Michigan, Maryland- and now Missouri.

He says he's been encouraging schools in the Savannah area to schedule tours next school year, and remains excited about the museum's showpiece.

Uminiwitz says his goal for the Andrew County Museum is to meet the 6 steps of the American Association for state and local history.
