MARYVILLE, MO (2010-05-26) Military veterans around Nodaway County are getting ready for the Memorial Day Observance this year.

Monday's program will feature Doctor Mike Steiner (stin-er), Chair of the History Department at Northwest Missouri State and Past President of the Nodaway County Historical Society.

American Legion Post 1 hundred member Richard Flannegan says the start of the courthouse program mirrors the famous "11th Day of the 11th Month" in American Military history.

The public and posts from around Nodaway County are invited to celebrate Monday's event on the west side of the Courthouse in Maryville.
