MARYVILLE, MO (2010-05-27) The Senator from Savannah says a bill passed this legislative session will save Missouri retailers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A recent Supreme Court interpretation said businesses must pay the sales tax if they sell to tax-exempt entities.

Senator Brad Lager (log-er) says the new law will put into statute the fact businesses will **not** be responsible when they sell.

Missouri lawmakers are working through the summer preparing for the January law making session, saying they'll face a one (b)illion dollar budget shortfall.
