MO Jobs Plan

Wayman

Jefferson City, MO (2010-05-24) Missouri's Governor is asking business leaders to create a strategic plan to direct state economic development.

The idea is to get people from around the state, about 2 hundred of them- led by a core group of about 25.

The charge is to come up with a 5 year plan of development strategies.

Governor Jay Nixon says clear goals will help define the state, and target business tax breaks.

Nixon won't say what tax credits might be cut other than the one for historic preservation.

Nixon's task force will make reccomendations in December, just in time for the legislative session starting in January.
