Downtown Upgrades

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-05-11) It could be mid-September when residents start seeing the final major changes to upgrade Maryville's Downtown District.

A grant and local contributions will finish the final two phases of the downtown renewal construction... A grass-roots project with the city that's been ongoing for about 4 years.

Randy Mendenhaul is an engineer designing the construction and says work on the merchants side will begin this fall- while making sure businesses can still remain open.

Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with businesses in Maryville's Downtown District are being planned as construction gets closer.

The final phases are expected to continue into next spring's construction season.
