Chillicothe, MO (2010-05-10) Some historical artifacts get a new look as the Grand River Historical Society Museum re-opens.
Museum board members made a number of changes to the building to make it more cost effective to heat as well as bring the displays into modern times.
This includes a muralist giving a period look to the old Chillicothe jail cell... And having an expert come in and update the Indian artifacts exhibit.
Mary Underwood is first vice president of the museum and says its something Chillicothe can be proud of.
The Grand River Historical Society Museum is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons and is located on Forrest Drive in Chillicothe- that's near the Vo-Tech School and Football Field.
