Trenton, MO (2010-05-07) The new agricultural laboratory near Trenton appears to be on track.

North Central Missouri College is planning the Barton Campus.. which will be a state-of-the-art ag-based research facility.

The vision calls for a science lab, meting spaces for North Central's Alternative Fuels and Wind Turbine programs, a plant science building, greenhouse, and other amenities.

An architectural firm is drawing up plans for the plant lab and a resource building... with the goal of building both at the same time to save money.

That portion is expected to cost about 3-point-2 million dollars. The Barton Farm Campus plan was discussed at the recent trustees meeting at North Central.

Classes could be held there as early as next fall.
