Princeton, MO (2010-05-03) The saga involving the future of Premium Standard Farms continues.
An expert panel appointed by the courts is determining if the corporate hog giant throughout North Central Missouri is doing enough to protect the environment.
P-S-F maintains it's invested millions in upgrades and in research... and local communities worry jobs could be at stake if the state forces more restrictions on P-S-F.
Now... The expert panel that's overseeing the environmental upgrades is asking for more information.
It wants data on the proposed barn scraper and a digester plan before it gives approval.
The panel has until July 31st to decide if the hog processor has met enough requirements to satisfy the state's environmental lawsuit against it.
