Nebraska City, Neb. (2009-05-20) A volunteer effort in Nebraska City restores a seventy year old City Park and changes the name.

Monday, the City Council voted to change the name from Riverview Park to Riverview Nature Park.

City Clerk for Nebraska City Arnold Ahlears says the name change is to better reflect what the park offers.

The City Council also signed the Downtown Revitalization Grant and updated City ordinances involving pets and old cemetary taxes.
