Moped Death

St. Joseph, MO (2009-05-18) A St. Joseph woman died after crashing her moped into a telephone pole yesterday.

Leah Cowan was traveling on Lakefront Road in St. Joseph when she swerved off the road and smashed head-on into a telephone pole.

The collision ejected Cowan from the vehicle.

Emergency crews took Cowan to Heartland Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
