Clarinda, Ia. (2009-05-18) It's less than a month now until ground is broken for a new Glenn Miller Museum in Clarinda, Iowa.
The society there has been purchasing lots around the existing Birthplace Home Museum in Clarnida.
Now, plans are being finalized for the groundbreaking during Glenn Miller Days for the 750 thousand dollar complex honoring the music legend.
Marvin Negley is the president of the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society and says the new museum will feature a theater for more than 70 people, a library and research room, and of course display space for the extensive Miller collection.
Groundbreaking is set for June 11th.
