MARYVILLE, MO (2009-05-21) The Northwest Missouri State Board of Regents announced yesterday they have selected Dr. John Jasinski to serve as the tenth president of the University.

The Board of Regents and University in general are very pleased with the decision. Regents president Bill Loch exuded confidence in the new president's ability, saying "Dr. Jasinski exhibits a great enthusiasm and work ethic to all around him."
Aformal press conference to introduce the new president will be (was) held at 2 o'clock today at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts on the Northwest campus.
