Clarinda, Ia. (2009-05-18-09) The Clarinda City Council wants to add a turnaround at the North end of the Airport.
At the last council meeting engineers estimated the project to coast about 246 thousand dollars.
Council accepted a bid of 177 thousand dollars from Sticklers Incorporated from Clarinda.
City Manager Gary McLearnin says the F-A-A funding for the project is an important componant.
Clarinda Council members also agreed to purchase a new siren system.
They authorized an engineering firm to investigate ways to improve utility bill for the Leid (Leed) Center....looking at the options of adding a ground source heat pump and geothermal system.
