Chillicothe, MO (2009-05-29) The Chillicothe City Council has unanimously approved an increase in contribution rates for the city employees' retirement plan known as the "Lagers" (log-ers).

The entirety of the retirement for full-time city employees is paid into the "Lagers" (log-ers) program by the City of Chillicothe, so this contribution rate increase will have an affect on taxes for Chillicothe residents.

Chillicothe City Administrator Dean Brookshire says this increase was very important and taking good care of employees is something the City of Chillicothe prides itself on.
