Brookfield, MO (2010-05-04) Brookfield residents will notice some houses in town disappearing soon.

But that's a good thing.

The City Council has hired two contractors to tackle 7 sub-standard houses ready for demolition.

Bill Bowen and Danny Truitt's crews will be razing the houses.

Property owners will have to pay the removal and disposal costs only.

The Brookfield properties are located at 217 West Brooks, 401 Elliott, 338 East Helm, 516 Smith, 1023 North Main, 170 Hunt, and 430 Beverly Street.
