Rock Port, MO (2013-05-28)
Unusual wildflowers and other rare flowers can be seen in Missouri.
Loess hill prairies, particularly at the Brickyard Hill Conservation Area near Rock Port this year, have grown these plants for years but they can only be found in certain spots. The flowers grow in drier areas and some can only grow in the luess soil that can be found in certain spots in Missouri. Media Specialist for the Missouri Department of Conservation, Bill Graham, says the flowers grew more abundantly in the state in the past.
