MARYVILLE, MO (2009-03-13) A proposed joint-venture between the college in Trenton and university in Maryville gets a financial boost.
North Central Missouri State and Northwest are coordinating a planned joint academic nursing program pending state approval from the coordinating board of higher education.
If approved it will make it easier for nursing students to transfer easily between the two schools.
The main facility is the new allied health classroom complex under construction on the Trenton campus.
Now…. Officials have received word nearly a million and a half dollars is coming from the federal stimulus package that will help pay for new equipment in the nursing complex.
Along with private donations, the federal money will make it possible to finish the 33 thousand square foot complex without the schools borrowing money or bonds.
The stimulus check is expected to arrive by August or September.
