Water Commission

Wayman

MARYVILLE, MO (2009-03-30) The new era has started to create a regional water transmission system in northwest Missouri.

For several years partners have been planning the system.

Now, the Great Northwest Wholesale Water Commission is formed and looking for members.

The commission is now legally able to issue private bonds and accept grants for funding a regional water transmission system.

Tye Parsons is a co-chair of the group and says any public water system in the area can join.

Parsons says members joining the commission early will have the ability to set policy going forward.

The regional system will share water resources to upgrade local systems and ensure dependable water to the northwest Missouri region.
