Mound City's fifth annual book sale is coming up.

The book sale is made up of donations from the community and the Mound City Library. The sale raises money for programs, grants and improvements for the Mound City library. Director for the Mound City Public Library, Carly Edwards, says the event has been received well with the community previously and is growing in popularity each year.

The sale will have books of all covers, shapes and publishing dates ranging from the 1900s to recent. CDs, movies and audio books will also be available. Donations are being accepted until Thursday, March seventh at 5 PM. The sale will begin Friday March eighth at 4 PM until 8 PM and Saturday March ninth from 8 AM until 3 PM at The Klub in Mound City's Community Building.
