Expecting mothers may worry that wearing a seatbelt can harm their unborn child if involved in a car accident, but a recent study would beg to differ.
The study finds that not wearing a seatbelt will increase the chance of losing a child than if the mother was restrained. Brandi Thompson with Safe Kids Iowa says the best way to properly protect the unborn child is to protect the mom-to-be by knowing the right and wrong way of putting on a seatbelt.
Expecting mothers also worry impact with the air bag will cause injury to the unborn child, but Thompson adds this is also unfounded. She adds it is never a bad idea though, to keep as much space as possible between the mother and the airbag.© Copyright, KXCV
