The Maryville City Council heard students' opinions at Northwest Missouri State yesterday evening.
The council held the meeting to specifically discuss the possibility of raising the minimum bar-entry age from 19 to 21 years-old. Northwest Student Senate President Riley Ziemer told the council that many fear the change could direct students to less-safe social gatherings.
Maryville Mayor Glenn Jonagan says he wasn't surprised by the feedback students offered.Jonagan says if the council makes a change to the law, it won't be until this summer.© Copyright, KXCV
