Maryville, MO (2013-03-11)

The Northwest Missouri State Bearcat men's basketball team's season came to a close yesterday afternoon with a 79-76 overtime loss to Central Missouri in the championship game of the MIAA postseason tournament in Kansas City.

Senior Bryston Williams led the Bearcats with a career high 27 points...25 coming in the second half...including a lay up at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. Bearcat assistant coach Austin Meyer says he's proud of the effort the Bearcats gave...playing without DeAngelo Hailey and Connor Crooker....both of whom went down to injuries during the tournament.

Williams also led Northwest in rebounding pulling down nine. Northwest's season comes to a close with a record of 21-10.
