One of the issues discussed at last nights Trenton City Council meeting concerned funding the communities fire department.

The council reviewed a plan for a fire tax, Trenton City clerk Cindy Simpson says the tax would provide needed income for the fire department.

Simpson adds the Trenton City Council also discussed an upgrade to the landfill but with held a decision until further input could be gathered from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
