Nebraska City is celebrating the opening of a new bakery tomorrow evening.

Ginger and Phil Weaver are opening Soiree Cakery at 616 and a half Central Avenue in Nebraska City's downtown district. Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce's promotions and development coordinator Rose Ralstin says Ginger Weaver started baking for others out of her home and when the demand for her baked goods grew weaver borrowed a professional kitchen from Janie's confections until her business grew so large she new she needed her own space.

The ribbon cutting open house ceremonies for Soiree Cakery will be tomorrow evening from 4 to 6 at 616 and a half Central Avenue in downtown Nebraska City.
