With senate talk of military base closure considerations, is Rosecrans Air Field near St. Joseph safe?

Both Missouri senators seem to be protecting it. The base realignment and closures process, or "BRAC", is being discussed in the nation's capitol. But in prepared remarks, Missouri senator Claire McCaskill told military brass she will not allow the process to move forward this year.

Missouri senator Roy Blunt says he wants to see Rosecrans Field not only kept open, but possibly expanded.Blunt says he wants to make sure international military bases are strong, before considering realignments of domestic operations.
