Regents Approve Bids

MARYVILLE, MO (2012-03-16)

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents approved the contracts for the university's facilities and management services and the school bookstore.

The board accepted the bids from the school's current contractor's Aramark and Barnes and Noble college booksellers. Northwest president, Dr. John Jasinski, says the new contracts will result in a financial savings to the university.

Jasinski says with the contract's approved officials can now focus on how the new agreements will affect employees of Aramark and the bookstore on campus.The Northwest Board of Regents also approved extending an agreement with Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa where students can begin their education at Northwest and then complete their degree at Palmer Chiropractic College. The board also heard a report on the finances of the Missouri Academy and is expected to continue those discussions during their April meeting.
