Captain Duane Robinson, commanding officer of troop H Highway Patrol in St. Joseph has announced a sobriety checkpoint and a driving while intoxicated saturation.
Sometime this month, the sobriety checkpoint will be held in Clinton county and the saturation will be conducted in Livingston county. The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The DWI Saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest intoxicated drivers.
