MARYVILLE, MO (2011-03-14)
Missouri lawmakers are approaching a May 6th deadline to figure out the state's "Foundation Formula" the money being distributed to school districts in the state.
Some have suggested Federal money could be used to help local schools. Savannah senator Brad Lager says while it's an option, lawmakers are also taking a long-term view as the debate moves forward. Lager says he wants to ensure the top 3 priorities for local school districts are funding for busses, quality teachers, and making sure districts are fiscally responsible.
