MARYVILLE, MO (2011-03-16)
A key position at Northwest Missouri State is about to be filled.
It's the director of the IIC or "Intercultural International Center". That department works with minorities on campus to get them involved and educate the community on the global perspective prevalent in today's economy. Two applicants have been interviewed for the culturally diverse position which was left vacant after the former director moved out of state for another job. Dr. Matt Baker is dean of students at the Maryville university and says the IIC is a critical component for everyone in the community. Operations at the IIC are continuing until the new director is named which could happen by early Summer.
