MARYVILLE, MO (2011-03-9)
The university in Maryville is moving forward with its program to make sure first-year students get support for a college career.
The "Foundations of Excellence" at Northwest Missouri State is investigating the experiences of first year students from 9 different perspectives. These include learning, diversity, faculty, and roles and purposes dimensions. Leslie Chandler is a co-leader on the campus-wide project and says the program is a comprehensive look at efforts of the university. The new program could be in place by the start of this Fall semester.
