St. Joseph, Mo. (2010-3-11) The senator from St. Joseph is spending his legislative spring break pondering the State's dire budget situation.

Senate president pro-tem Charlie Shields predicts lack of revenues will dominate the second half of the session. Shields suggests it may require some state agencies consolidating. Both parties are leary about leaning on federal stimulus money that may or may not make it to Missouri.
