ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-3-29) St. Joseph's ranking member in the Missouri senate predicts even more cuts to the State budget will start soon.
President pro-tem Charlie Shields says now that senators have gotten the Missouri house's version of the budget, we could see more than the $200 million in cuts the house made. About half of the $200 million in cuts passed by the house were to K-though-12 schools, which nearly matches the governor's proposed funding level for public schools next year.
