TRENTON, MO. (2010-3-17) Last night's public hearing on the future of premium standard farms didn't resolve anything but a lot from both sides was said.
The corporate hog giant throughout Northwest Missouri is facing millions more in environmental upgrades of next generation technology because of a lawsuit. Last night in Trenton the attorney general's office heard an outpouring of support from about 18,000 residents including Sullivan County presiding commissioner Chris May. PSF and the court-appointed panel overseeing the environmental upgrades continue negotiating on which technology will satisfy the court order. The deadline to do that is this July 31st.
