MARYVILLE, MO (2010-3-17) Facing uncertain funding from the State, Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville has approved room and board charges increases for the next school year.

The board of regents approved a 5% increase in the meal plans students buy and a 9% increase in the room fees. Vice president of finance Stacy Carrick says in total a Northwest student will pay about $500 more starting next year. Miscelaneous student fee sharges were also approved at yesterday's meeting. Those totals weren't immediately available.
