Municipal Election

Kimball

ST. JOSEPH, MO. (2010-3-3) The Buchanan County Municipal Election results are in for St. Joseph's race for mayor and a councilmember.

It was a close race for mayor with only a 103 votes separating the top to candidates. Richard Sipe collected just over 43% of the vote and Bill Falkner received almost 42%. The two will face off in the April election for the next mayor of St. Joseph. For councilmember of district 3 it was Paul Kovac who collected 51% of the votes. That automatically makes him the new council member, ousting incumbent Mike Bozarth, who received just 27% of the votes.
